The name Nautilus carries the spirit of the studio. It comes from a creature that moves through the world in slow spirals, building its home chamber by chamber — each one a record of where it has been, each one opening into the next. Its shell is both archive and compass, a structure that protects while allowing for continual expansion.
For me, the nautilus is a symbol of creative life. It speaks to the way an artist grows: not in straight lines, but in curves, in returns, in quiet revolutions. It reminds me that practice is a journey of unfolding — of learning from what came before, of embracing change, of trusting the next chamber even before it is built.
